This is a six piece illustration for the new children’s area at Østerbro Bibliotek. Every part is made to fit whichever other remaining five parts, and can be turned to all four sides. The area is for 1-3 year-old children, and therefore I have concentrated on bringing elements from their everyday lives, mainly recognizable features from the immediate neighborhood, into the illustrations. I hope that they will function as an inspiration for both children and parents to talk about their every day, and for children in that age repetition is one of the keys to learning new words.
