This book is written as an introduction to the culture and history of Ethiopia and gives an insight into the country’s proud customs, traditions and people.
The author, Monica Gabre Selassie wanted to write a book that enhanced childrens knowledge about Ethopia’s culture, history and traditions. She was born in Denmark but her parents are Ethiopian – this has inspired her to study the country of her origin and generated a wish to introduce Ethiopia to the outside world. I have made the illustrations throughout this book and I am, together with Selassie, still finding new and interesting facts that can give you just a glimpse of what Ethiopia has been and what it is today.
